Parents are asked that children wear the school uniform, which can be easily purchased at moderate cost.  The owl is our school mascot and appears on our royal blue sweatshirts, cardigans and fleeces.  All items, with the exception of the printed items can be obtained from chain stores, supermarkets, etc. The printed cardigan, sweatshirt and fleece are available from Threads and Treads in Verwood.

 

Winter Uniform

• Royal blue school cardigan or sweatshirt
• Grey skirt, pinafore dress or long trousers
• Sky blue polo shirt
• Grey, black or white socks
• School shoes
• Royal blue school fleece (optional)

Summer Uniform

• Royal blue school cardigan or sweatshirt
• Blue checked or striped summer dresses
• Grey shorts can be worn in place of long trousers
• Grey, black or white socks
• Shoes or sandals, not the open toed variety.

All children should have a suitable coat for the season.

Footwear

In the interests of good foot development and Health and Safety we ask children to wear sensible flat black or navy shoes.  The summer option is flat sandals with closed toes.

PE Kit

• Plain white collarless t-shirt (not polo)
• Black football shorts or cycling shorts 
• Children will also require a black tracksuit for outdoor games in cold weather
• Trainers

Please note skorts are not suitable

Please could parents ensure that every item of their child’s clothing is clearly named. Iron-on or sew-in name tapes are best, as biro fades very quickly after washing!

Jewellery

We do not encourage the wearing of jewellery in school for health and safety reasons, although simple stud earrings are permitted. These will need to be covered with tape or a plaster during PE lessons.

Watches are also acceptable providing they are not of the ‘novelty’ kind that could detract from learning!

Hairstyles

Shoulder length hair should be tied back: this is for reasons of health, safety and practicality.  Extreme hairstyles including dyed / bleached hair or shaven designs should be avoided.
