Introducing ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’

We know that screen time and working alone is not always conducive to good mental health.  It is really important to give opportunities to children and families to take time out and enjoy different learning activities which might help with developing mindfulness, relaxation or talking time, all of which are good for our mental health, particularly during lockdown.

Hillside First School have introduced ‘Wellbeing Wednesday’, to encourage children and their families to take time to look after themselves, especially during this difficult time.  The children will have an afternoon every week away from more formal remote learning, to enjoy various activities away from the screen.
